Terms of Service

Effective June 18, 2026

1. Who we are

GPLscore ("we", "us", "our") is a software tool that grades funeral home General Price Lists ("GPLs") against regional benchmarks and FTC Funeral Rule (16 CFR Part 453) requirements. GPLscore is operated by Nathan Morris, a licensed Funeral Director. Contact: hello@gplscore.com.

2. What you're buying

GPLscore offers three tiers: a Free Grade (letter grade plus insights), a Deep Audit (a one-time strategic report), and a Done-for-You GPL (a custom-written General Price List). Each product page describes exactly what is delivered.

3. Not legal or compliance advice

GPLscore is a software product, not a law firm and not a compliance consultancy. Outputs — including grades, audits, and rewritten GPLs — are informational. You are responsible for verifying everything against your own state Board of Funeral Service rules and confirming compliance with current FTC guidance, including any active ANPR or amendment. You should have material legal counsel or your state association review any GPL before publishing it.

4. Your content & data rights (regional benchmarks)

When you upload a GPL, you grant us a limited license to process it for the sole purpose of producing the deliverable you requested. You retain all rights to your GPL and any data in it. We do not sell, share, or resell your GPL.

Persistent storage and anonymized regional benchmarks. In addition to producing your deliverable, GPLscore stores each parsed GPL in a structured corpus, indexed by state, county, metro area, and population-density bucket. Aggregated medians, interquartile ranges, and other distributional statistics derived from this corpus are used to anchor grades, deep audit recommendations, and Done-for-You rewrites for other funeral homes in comparable markets. We require this consent at upload time via a required checkbox; submission is blocked without it.

What is never shared. Outputs derived from the corpus are aggregate-only and never identify a specific competing funeral home by name, address, or any combination of attributes that would single one out. Cells with fewer than three contributing funeral homes are suppressed from any regional benchmark that appears in a deliverable. Raw GPL PDFs and parsed line items are not shared with any other customer, are not resold, and are not used for ads or marketing lists.

Deletion on request. You may request that we delete your GPL and remove it from the corpus at any time by emailing hello@gplscore.com. We process deletion requests within 14 days. Aggregate statistics computed prior to deletion may persist; your row will not contribute to any future recomputation.

Aggregate-only outputs. Regional benchmark text in our deliverables takes the form "per N nearby [region] [density] funeral homes," never "per [Competitor Funeral Home]." Our LLM prompts include an explicit guard against naming individual corpus contributors. See the Privacy Policy for our broader data-handling commitments.

5. Payments

Paid tiers are charged in U.S. dollars via Stripe. By purchasing, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method and you agree to Stripe's own terms. We do not store full card numbers.

6. Refunds

Refund eligibility is described in our Refund Policy, which is part of these Terms.

7. Acceptable use

You may not (a) upload GPLs you don't own or have permission to process, (b) reverse-engineer the grading models, (c) resell GPLscore outputs as your own consulting product, or (d) use GPLscore to violate any law or FTC rule.

8. Warranty disclaimer

GPLscore is provided "as is." We make no warranty that outputs will match a specific regulator's interpretation, pass a board inspection, or produce any specific revenue outcome. Funeral regulation varies by state and is changing.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GPLscore's total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost revenue, regulatory penalties, or reputational harm.

10. Termination

You may stop using GPLscore at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for users who violate these Terms. Sections 3, 4, 8, 9, and 11 survive termination.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Venue for any dispute is in the state or federal courts of Kentucky.

12. Changes

We may revise these Terms. We will update the effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, email anyone with an active paid order.
